With the arrival of spring, the temperature is rising, flowers are blooming and the days are lengthening, giving us all a chance to enjoy sunshine and the beauty of the outdoors. As the weather warms up, why not celebrate the coming of spring with an outdoor, spring-inspired dinner party steeped in the trappings of the season.

In planning the menu for your springtime dinner party, don’t forget about appetizers and starters. A serving platter loaded with fresh cut veggies, accompanied by an array of homemade dips is a great way to welcome your guests to your dinner party and to prepare their tastebuds for the flavours of spring and the meal you have planned.

Easy Dip Recipes For Your Dinner Party

Fully Loaded Dip

Ingredients:

1 jar Simply Stirred Roasted Garlic Mayonnaise

150 grams cheddar cheese - grated

5 spring onions - chopped

50 grams bacon bits

50 grams slivered almonds

Method:

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix to combine. Chill in the fridge for 2 hours before serving.

Creamy Lime, Chilli and Coriander Dip

Ingredients:

1 jar Simply Stirred Lime, Chilli and Coriander Mayonnaise

150 grams sour cream

1 tbs freshly squeezed lime juice

1 tbs fresh coriander - chopped

Method:

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix to combine. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes before serving. Top with additional fresh coriander to serve.

Spicy Garlic, Lime & Jalapeno Dip

Ingredients:

½  jar Simply Stirred Caramelised Garlic and Lime Aioli

150 grams sour cream

30 grams pickled jalapenos - minced

1 tbs freshly squeezed lime juice

3 spring onions - chopped

Method:

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix to combine. Chill in the fridge of 30 minutes before serving. Top with jalapeno slices to garnish.

All of these dips are super quick and easy to make and serving all three, with sliced veggies, are a great way to whet your dinner guests’ appetites with delicious flavour options. Serve on a veggie platter of carrots, celery, fresh broccoli and mushrooms.
