Ingredients
- 750gms chicken breast fillets- cut into small pieces or strips
- ¼ cup mirin
- 2 tbls Japanese Rice wine( sake)
- ¼ cup SIMPLY STIRRED CARAMELIZED SOY WITH GINGER
- 1 tsp peanut oil
- ½ tsp sesame oil.
Cooking Directions
- Combine SIMPLY STIRRED CARAMELIZED SOY W GINGER, Mirin, sake and sesame oil in a dish.
- Add diced chicken pieces or strips, cover and leave for 15 mins
- Heat peanut oil in wok to medium heat.
- Drain and reserve marinade from chicken, and brown the chicken pieces until just cooked.
- Add marinade to the chicken, bring to a rolling bubble and then turn heat down to simmer- put lid on and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove chicken pieces, bring marinade to boil again and let reduce until thick and dark..
- Toss chicken into wok and coat pieces in sauce, and serve on steamed rice and steamed asian greens.
