Teriyaki Chicken

Teriyaki Chicken

Serving Size: 4

Ingredients

  • 750gms chicken breast fillets- cut into small pieces or strips
  • ¼ cup mirin
  • 2 tbls Japanese Rice wine( sake)
  • ¼ cup SIMPLY STIRRED CARAMELIZED SOY WITH GINGER
  • 1 tsp peanut oil
  • ½ tsp sesame oil.

Cooking Directions

  1. Combine SIMPLY STIRRED CARAMELIZED SOY W GINGER, Mirin, sake and sesame oil in a dish.
  2. Add diced chicken pieces or strips, cover and leave for 15 mins
  3. Heat peanut oil in wok to medium heat.
  4. Drain and reserve marinade from chicken, and brown the chicken pieces until just cooked.
  5. Add marinade to the chicken, bring to a rolling bubble and then turn heat down to simmer- put lid on and simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Remove chicken pieces, bring marinade to boil again and let reduce until thick and dark..
  7. Toss chicken into wok and coat pieces in sauce, and serve on steamed rice and steamed asian greens.
