Rod’s Mushroom and Onion Steak Sauce

Ingredients

  • 250g button mushrooms sliced
  • 1 Tbs butter
  • 1 Tbs Olive Oil
  • 2 Tbs SIMPLY STIRRED CARAMELISED ONION
  • ½ cup beef stock
  • 1 Tbs plain flour
  • Pepper and Salt to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Melt the butter and oil in small pan. Saute the mushrooms until soft. Add the flour to the pan and make a paste. Pour in the stock and stir till smooth and slightly thick. Add the SIMPLY STIRRED CARAMELISED ONION , pepper and salt. Cook until the sauce thickens then serve on top of your favourite cut of grilled steak.
