Ingredients

  • 4 x 150gm fillet steaks
  • 500gm pumpkin, ( Jap is best) cut into pieces approx 5cm long and 3 cm wide
  • 150gm rocket
  • ½ cup SIMPLY STIRRED CARAMELIZED BALSAMIC WITH PEPPER
  • 2 large or 4 small brown onions, cut into rough wedges
  • 2 garlic cloves-sliced finely
  • Oil for cooking
  • Salt & pepper for seasoning.

Cooking Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 160 degrees celcius - drizzle a little oil on a baking tray and combine pumpkin, garlic& onion and place on tray- Bake in oven 15-20 mins until pumpkin tender.
  2. Heat a large non-stick frypan to med-high, sprinkle a little oil on the pan.
  3. Cook steaks to your liking.
  4. Remove steaks and rest for 5 minutes.
  5. Slice steaks across the grain into slices approx 2 cm thick.
  6. Scatter rocket evenly over the 4 serving plates- then alternate a piece of steak, a slice of pumpkin and a slice of onion and continue horizontally across the plates.
  7. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and sliced garlic, then generously drizzle SIMPLY STIRRED CARAMELIZED BALSAMIC WITH PEPPER over the steak and around the outside of serving plate. Serve immediately.
